The production of garments and textiles involves the use of hazardous chemicals, which poses a threat to the environment and human health. The ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme is a collective effort of fashion brands and value chain associates to replace these chemicals with safer alternatives.
Since its inception in 2011, the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme has transformed into the ZDHC Foundation, which supervises the creation of the ZDHC MRSL. This list provides details of the hazardous chemicals that manufacturers and retailers should eliminate from their supply chain.

Eco Passport by Oeko-Tex® is an independent certification system that analyses each ingredient used in the production of certified inks to ensure compliance with the Eco Passport requirements. The inks that pass the certification process can be used for the production of Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 garments without posing any harm to human health.

GOTS is the foremost global standard for processing textiles made from organic fibers. It encompasses ecological and social criteria and involves independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. GOTS certification applies to final products, such as yarns, fabrics, clothes, home textiles, mattresses, personal hygiene products, food contact textiles, and others.
